A Swedish Love Story DVD

| DVD

Two adolescents meet and cautiously fall in love at the peak of an idyllic Swedish summer. Oblivious to social boundaries they innocently create their own milieu in contrast to the distorted relationships and disillusionment of the adult world around them. The debut feature of Swedish director Roy Andersson, this deceptively simple romantic drama tells the story of the relationship that develops between two Stockholm teenagers, Annika (Ann-Sofie Kylin) and Par (Rolf Sohlman). Meeting at a family gathering in the countryside at the height of summer in 1970, the two youngsters have soon carved out their own passion-infused reality, oblivious to the disillusionment and social tensions in the adult world that surrounds them.
