Gay-themed adoption drama starring Alan Cumming. Struggling musician and drag queen Rudy Donatello (Cumming) works out of a gay nightclub in West Hollywood, and it is here he meets and falls in love with the closeted lawyer Paul Fleiger (Garret Dillahunt). Living in a rundown apartment building, Rudy keeps a close eye on his neighbour Marianna (Jamie Anne Allman) and when he notices her neglect towards her teenage son with Down syndrome Marco (Isaac Leyva) he starts to befriend the abandoned boy. Later, when Marianna is imprisoned, Rudy and Paul pay her a visit to inform her of their hopes of winning custody of the boy in court, but when the details of their same-sex relationship comes into the open they face a hard battle against a prejudiced opposition...
