The fourth round was all about the surge of the Australians as Scott Marc Leishman and Jason Day all chased an historic victory pursued by 43-year-old Argentine Angel Cabrera already the owner of one Green Jacket after success in 2009. When the 32-year-old Scott sensationally birdied the par-4 18th victory looked assured but Cabrera responded with a stunning iron shot to within three feet of the hole to make birdie and force a sudden-death playoff for the second consecutive year. Scott needed a further two holes to end Australia's long wait; after Cabrera missed his birdie chance by the narrowest of margins at the par-4 10th Scott secured the 77th Masters thanks to a birdie from 10-feet.
