B. B. King is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures for successive generations of pop and rock guitarists. This fact was honored by his induction into the Blues Foundation's Hall of Fame (1980) and the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame (1987). A former plantation worker from Indianola Mississippi King has amassed no less than eight Grammy awards to date. In 1993 B.B. King was awarded a Grammy for his album Blues Summit which inspired him to play a joint concert with the superstars of blues that same year at his own club in Memphis Tennessee. This DVD contains... a full-length recording of that concert; a number of short interviews with B. B. and some of his long-time companions; selected historic footage about the Blues Boy; and even details about his crew including bus driver and roadies. All songs are featured in uninterrupted full versions. His duets with Joe Louis Walker Ruth Brown Buddy Guy Albert Collins Irma Thomas Robert Cray and Koko Taylor lead up to a grand finale with all performers gathered on stage. Recorded live at B. B.
