Chinese action thriller. Rookie Hong Kong cop Wang (Zhang Wen) is partnered up with Huang Feihong (Jet Li), the department's seasoned old-timer, after three mysterious murders shock the community. Desperate to find a lead in the case, it isn't long before the two cops connect the bodies to Liu Jinshui (Shishi Liu), an ex-lover of all three men, and she becomes their only suspect. Going undercover, Wang gets close to Liu to prove or disprove her involvement. But does his proximity to her now put him in danger?
