The Duplass brothers direct this low-budget comedy horror about a group of friends whose idea for a screenplay suddenly comes to life. After heading off to a remote cabin in the woods to try and come up with the idea for a horror movie, Chad (Steve Zissis), Matt (Ross Partridge), Michelle (Greta Gerwig) and Catherine (Elise Muller) finally settle on a plot about a bag-headed psychopath terrorising the locals. Reality soon begins to mirror fiction, however, when Michelle, wrongly believing one of the boys to be playing a prank, allows a bag-headed figure into her bedroom at night.
