Russian wartime drama co-written and directed by Dmitriy Meskhiev. Following their rise to power in the spring of 1917, the Russian Provisional Government attempt to inspire the war-weary soldiers battling in the trenches of the First World War by forming the First Russian Women's Battalion as a propaganda ploy. Led by peasant Maria Bochkareva (Mariya Aronova), the women head to the front line and bravely join the fight.
