Beowulf tells the tale of a young Danish warrior called Beowulf who goes to the aid of King Hroogar and his people who are attacked by a half-man half-monster named Grendel. A furious battle ensues and Beowulf emerges as the victor although Grendel's mother an equally savage creature ambushes the men beginning a battle in which many lives are lost. The story continues with Beowulf becoming king of his own people until one day a slave steals a golden cup from a dragon's lair. Once the dragon realizes the theft it leaves its cave in a terrifying rage attacking Beowulf's... people and land as it searches for his treasure. In one last battle Beowulf comes to his people's aid with the help of a trusted warrior and slays the dragon although at the cost of his own life. [show more]
