Documentary offering an insight into the 21st century burlesque scene. Originating in the 17th century, burlesque as a dramatic art form has been enjoying a revival on both sides of the Atlantic. This new 'Neo-burlesque' movement has continued from the late-20th century until the present, where more and more clubs and conventions continue to appear on the map. Featuring performances by a number of acts including Rose Wood, Julie Atlas Muz and Dirty Martini, the documentary offers a candid look at the daily routines of the performers as they continue to challenge social and sexual taboos through their art.
