The book of Daniel has some of the most memorable scenes and tests in the Bible King Nebuchadnezzar wanted select Jews to learn the language and literature of Babylon so they could become royal servants. Those chosen were to eat Babylonian food which meant flouting the kosher rules. Daniel refused just as he later refused to renounce God. The King mocked that his God will hardly save him from the lions den. But God saves Daniel in the lions den and the fiery furnace.
