This DVD features a rare live 1965 London concert of the Bill Evans Trio. The concert was recorded as a single performance to be broadcast as two shows in the BBC Jazz On 625 television series presented by Humphrey Lyttelton. The repertoire is a mixture of Evans originals American songbook titles and modern material including the Newley-Bricusse Who Can I Turn To? and Miles Davis' beautiful Nardis - a tune he himself curiously never recorded. Evans has still barely recovered from the tragic death of bassist Scott LaFaro in 1961 and had waited a year to form a new trio... with Chuck Israels on bass and Paul Motian on drums who by this time had been replaced by Larry Bunker.
