Indie comedy drama starring Matthew Perry. Morrie (Perry) is an anxious, overwrought university professor living with his wife Betty (Lauren Graham) in a house he inherited at the age of 18 after his mother's death and his father's suicide. Since then, Morrie has been a surrogate parent to his two younger siblings, brother Jay (Ben Foster) and sister Ida (Ginnifer Goodwin), both of whom are beset with problems of their own. When Jay is run over by a car, Morrie invites him to move in for a while, causing old resentments to surface and long-term emotional blockages to shift. Hilary Swank co-stars as Morrie's goofy neighbour, Laura.
