Black Prince - Paris Peripherique - 11.04 The Illegal Record DVD

| DVD

7.30am on a dark and broody Paris morning a cavalcade of bikers escort a lone figure onto the Peripherique - the city's ring road. He salutes them with a farewell wheelie and proceeds to dice with death... Early morning commuters stare in disbelief as the mysterious biker screams past in a blur of chrome and leather. Huge lorries and lumbering tankers provide little obstacle for this fearless rider who slaloms in and out with the agility of a cheetah accelerating at four seconds to complete the 35 kilometre lap of one of the dealiest roads in France... the name of... the Black Prince is written into biking legend forever. Here finally is video proof of the existence of a figure who was previously held as a myth amongst all but a few of the biking fraternity. 'The Prince' recorded his duel with the Grim Reaper on video for the benefit of his many admirers who pay tribute in this short film. Despite the hair raising evidence you'll still find it hard to believe! [show more]

The Peripherique around Paris is 35 kilometres. At 7.30 on 11th April 1992 a lone biker hit the rush hour in an attempt to circle Paris in the fastest time ever recorded (eleven minutes and four seconds) and filmed it all for video. This biker went on to become a mythical figure in the biking fraternity (The Black Prince) and now finally you can experience this hair raising ride.
