1950s swashbuckling adventure set on the high seas of the Carribean in 1674. Hoping to win a large reward by proving that Jamaican high official Sir Henry Morgan (Torin Thatcher) still dabbles in piracy, Robert Maynard (Keith Andes) goes undercover as a surgeon onboard a ship, captained by the infamous Blackbeard (Robert Newton). The notorious pirate's mistrust of Maynard makes his task increasingly difficult, while damsel in distress Edwina Mansfield (Linda Darnell) is in need of his assistance.
