This second in the series of Blink 182's Urethra Chronicles documentaries can only appeal to those who have a blinded adoration for this trio of pseudo-punks. One would have thought that Tom, Mark and Travis would appear older, wiser and funnier this time around but no such luck--they're still eight-year-olds trapped in grown-up bodies. As the camera follows these adolescents around once more, we get more insight into their banal, cringe-worthy behaviour, watching them burp, fart and spit and learning how they like to screw pigs, while being subjected to footage of... their painfully sanitised live gigs (a fake ring of fire around the drum kit? Puuurleeeese). These guys want so desperately to appear subversive and "k-r-ay-z-ee" that they just come across as boring dorks. On the DVD: Urethra Chronicles has no sleeve notes accompanying this DVD, though the back of the jacket tells all you need to know. There are only three options on the screen menu; watch the movie all the way through, watch any of the 14 chapters separately, or visit the bonus section, which features exclusive videos (the never-before-released version of "Stay Together with the Kids"), live footage from their 2001 tour, a boring photo gallery and more footage of the band, such as a torturous interviews with Tom and Mark about UFO/conspiracy obsessions and unicorns. The aspect ratio is 4:3 full screen. --Paul Sullivan [show more]
