Political drama based on the rise to power and subsequent assassination of Bobby Kennedy in 1968. Focusing on the ordinary people present in the last few hours of Robert Kennedy's life, this film paints a picture of American life in that most turbulent of periods in the country's history - one in which the Kennedy family appeared to lose a son rather too often. The hope placed on the shoulders of Robert Kennedy in the wake of his brother's death is palpable. The choice of subjects frames the social issues and divides present at the time including sexual inequality, class and race and an all-star ensemble cast is on hand to carry it off; Demi Moore, William H. Macy, Anthony Hopkins and Sharon Stone to name a scant few.
