Happy Mondays are a legendary rock band from Manchester who, alongside the Stone Roses, defined the 'Madchester' sound. Formed in 1980 by the Ryder brothers – Shaun (lead vocals) and Paul (bass), other members include Mark Day (lead guitar), Gary Whelan (Drummer), and Paul Davis (Keyboardist), with Mark Berry aka Bez and Rowetta Satchell joining later. The Happy Mondays blended hip hop and house rhythms with '60s psychedelia and '70s funk to create a unique brand of music that proved popular on an international scale and became the soundtrack to a generation. 'Call... the Cops' captures the band during their glory days and gives a fascinating insight into the lifestyles of the 24-hour party people.
