Catherine Tate returns for another seven episodes of character-based sketch comedy. Fan favourites from season one (Lauren, Nan Taylor, Margaret the jumpy housewife et al) are present and correct as well as a host of new ones. Derek, the androgynous middle-aged man fends off assumptions about his suspect sexual alignment. Allie, the tactless party guest makes a career out of putting her foot in her mouth and manages to habitually offend everyone she's introduced to. Irene and Vern, lay-by coffee stall owners are convinced their establishment has been visited by a succession of A-list celebrities including Madonna and Gorbachev. Sheila Carter disapproves of almost everyone around her and voices her disapproval loudly at every opportunity - before farting very loudly and looking like it never happened.
