Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is a big, fun, bubble-brained mess of a movie and that's exactly as it should be. Its popular 2000 predecessor got the formula right: gorgeous babes, throwaway plots and as many current pop-cultural trends as you could stuff into a candy-coated dollop of Hollywood mayhem. This sequel goes one "better": the plot is even more disposable (if that's possible), the babes, cars, and fashions are even more outlandish and the stuntwork (heavily digital, heavily absurd) reaches astonishing heights of cartoon silliness. Reprising their titular... (and shamelessly titillating) roles, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are having the time of their lives, especially when sparring with ultra-buff rogue angel Demi Moore (looking better at 40 than most women half her age) and Justin Theroux as a sleazy Irish mobster. Bernie Mac replaces Bill Murray as angel-sidekick Bosley (they're step-brothers, don'cha know), which is one more indication of McG's intentionally reckless stewardship of an intentionally reckless franchise. --Jeff Shannon [show more]
Contrary to Hollywood belief, lots of explosions and Cameron Diaz in her underwear do not make a good film - a popular one maybe. After the success of the first film, a sequel and this one was much lauded for featuring the resurrection (film wise) of Demi Moore as a rogue Angel. She should have done everyone a favour and stayed in the wilderness.

Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu reprise their roles (as do several others) as the glamorous crimebusting trio. This time they are assigned by their reclusive boss Charlie (again voiced by John Forsythe) to find a pair of rings that have been coded to contain all the names on the FBI's Witness Protection Program, after several of the names have turned up dead. Along the way they encounter several foes, namely ex-Angel Madison Lee (Demi Moore), the Thin Man (Crispin Glover) and Dylan's ex, Seamus (Justin Theroux), as well as many reasons to use their high-heels and fighting skills. Watch out for several cameos from the likes of Bruce Willis, the Olsen twins and, original 'Angel', Jaclyn Smith.
Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. The "Angels", three investigative agents (Barrymore, Diaz and Liu) who work for the Charles Townsend Detective Agency, return for another high-octane series of adventures as they investigate the theft of a database of witness protection profiles, after five of the people on the list are murdered. They're aided by a new Bosley (Bernie Mac), in an adventure which pits them against a "fallen angel" (Moore), their old nemesis, the Thin Man (Glover), and others.
