Chris Thompson - One Hot Night In The Cold DVD

For many people Chris Thompson will perhaps be best remembered as the singer for Manfred Manns Earthband. Chris sang on the hits Blinded By The Light and Daveys On The Road Again as well as a number of hugely successful albums. From the Earthband Chris then formed Night alongside Stevie Lange Robbie McIntosh and Nicky Hopkins and again scoring success in America with two albums for Richard Perrys Planet record label and two hit singles. Since that time Chris has made a number of solo album as well as working with some of the biggest names in music such as Queen Elton... John and many more. In the mid eighties Chris Thompson co wrote the song Youre The Voice which was a massive worldwide hit for Australian singer John Farnham. Currently Chris is reprising his role in the live tour of Jeff Waynes Musical Version of The War of the Worlds as it tours the world. Chris sang the song Thunder Child on the original 1978 album release. This concert was filmed in Tromso with the Mads Erikson band. The hot element comes from the bands performance and the cold comes from the almost Arctic temperatures outside the venue in Norway. The band work their way through many of the Manfred Manns Earthband songs associated with Chris including Questions Blinded By The Light For You and Davys On The Road Again along with newer material and Youre the Voice a song that Chris wrote and John Farnham took to the top of the charts across the world.
