He joined the Union Army and climbed the ranks to lead his men into many battles with the Confederates in America's Civil War. 'Left for Dead' tells the story of Oscar Jackson, who was a captain in the Civil War. Despite being shot in the head, Jackson continued to serve on the battlefield and later became a US Congressman.
