Profile of the Swedish sculptor, best known for his colossal sculptures of commonly found everyday objects. Many of these objects, though ridiculed when they first appeared, have since come to be seen as important, fun additions to public outdoor art. In addition to his large replicas, Oldenburg is also famous for his range of soft sculpture objects, including 'Clothespin', a giant inflatable clothespeg, and 'Soft Bathtub', a foam-filled canvas with wood, cord and plaster.
