Darkly humorous drama in which a single mother, preparing for the departure of her grown-up children, begins a relationship which changes the family dynamic completely. Eileen (Jackie Howe) is an ex-dancer who hasn't done much recently other than raise her children. However, with Jimmy (Felix Malcolm Still) and Gypsy (Mercedes Grower) now at an age when they make no secret of their desire to leave home, Eileen finds room in her life for a boyfriend, Bill (Stephen Taylor). Eileen briefly blooms with the new romance, but before long problems begin to present themselves. Some of Bill's bad habits, such as his love of marijuana, cause tension and bring out Eileen's old insecurities. Meanwhile, how will Jimmy and Gypsy cope now their mother has someone other than them in her life?
