Gen Takahashi writes and directs this political crime drama delineating corruption within the Japanese police force. Policeman Takeda (Shun Sugata) enjoys a quiet existence as a cop on the local beat until he is headhunted by the Criminal Investigative Department. Takeda enjoys being a detective, but soon gets sucked into some of the less-than-legal activities practiced by his colleagues, first becoming involved in everyday cases of entrapment and blackmail and eventually being selected to oversee more serious crimes involving gangs, drugs and arms dealing.
