France's greatest (?) detective, Inspector Clouseau, is missing. Interpol propose putting their best detective (selected by computer) on his trail, but this results in a bumbling incompetent (Ted Wass) being given the job instead. Blake Edwards directed this comedy, which was David Niven's last film.
