Collected three-part documentary about the crucial moments in the last year of the Second World War. Part One examines the course of the war from the D-Day landings in Normandy on 6th June 1944 to the liberation of Paris in August. Part Two looks at the fighting from the liberation of Paris up to the crossing of the Rhine frontier. Part Three focuses on the final death-throes of the German Reich, as Allied forces advance from the Rhine, up to the surrender of German forces on VE Day.
