Franta (Ondrej Vetchy) and Karel (Krystof Hadek) are two Czech pilots serving with the RAF during the Second World War. Flying one of his first missions, Karel is forced to land in the English countryside, where he seeks help from local woman Susan Whitmore (Tara Fitzgerald). Susan takes him in and he quickly falls in love with her, but after some initial encouragement, she firmly rejects his advances. When she then falls in love with Franta, and the two begin an affair, the scene is set for a confrontation between the two men.
