This is the third instalment (released in 2012) of the Wimpy Kid series based on Jeff Kinney's best-selling children's novels. Once again we join our favourite wimp Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) to whom life has dealt much more than a fair share of ineptitude and gawkiness.
School has finished for the summer and our poor unfortunate hero has been left to his own devices providing he adheres to certain conditions laid down by his father. Greg, however, as he usually does, unwittingly invites trouble and can only lurch helplessly from one calamity to another.... He chooses to pretend to work at a posh country club so he can be near his high school crush, Holly (Peyton List), and this predictably ends in excruciating embarrassment. He fares no better while on a camping trip with his father with the Wilderness Explorers.
There is one hilarious fiasco after another but by the end of Greg's summer he admits it has been the "best summer ever"! This highly entertaining film is great viewing for the whole family. The film is included in Diary of a Wimpy Kid 1-3, a box set which has all three of the Wimpy Kid films.
During his summer vacation, "Wimpy Kid" Greg Heffley hatches a plan to pretend he has a job at a ritzy country club -- which fails to keep him away from the season's dog days, including embarrassing mishaps at a public pool and on a camping trip. [show more]

Family comedy based on the fourth book in the 'Wimpy Kid' series by author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney. Greg (Zachary Gordon) is having his worst summer ever. A self-confessed 'indoor person', all he wants to do is spend his holidays playing computer games in his room with the curtains drawn. But his mother has other ideas, and packs him off with his best friend, Rowley (Robert Capron), to stay at a country club, where - to Greg's horror - outdoor activites and family bonding are the order of the day.
The oh-so-wimpy Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) gets himself into more mischief when he spends the summer working at a country club in this third installation of the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID series. David Bowers returns to direct from a script by Maya Forbes and Wally Wolodarsky.
