Paranoid thriller directed by Alice Winocour. Vincent (Matthias Schoenaerts) is suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in Afghanistan as a French Special Forces soldier. When he returns home and takes on the role of bodyguard for Jessie (Diane Kruger), the wife of a wealthy but shady businessman living in France, he becomes enchanted by her. Suffering from hallucinations and unable to cast off the role of alert on-duty soldier, he becomes convinced that the woman he is protecting is in danger from a strange outside threat. This paranoia blurs the distinction between reality and illusion and for Victor becomes all-consuming.
