Dixie Dregs unique musical style blended jazz country folk and southern rock to create a sound like no other band in history. The band also launched the career of guitarist Steve Morse who would go on to have a successful solo career as well as playing with Kansas and since 1994 as the lead guitarist in Deep Purple.
