A series of gruesome murders resembling fairy tales puzzle a hard-nosed detective. Inspector Wong (Lau Ching Wan) arrests a seemingly disturbed man who has confessed to a brutal murder reminiscent of a children's fable. Chinese serial killer thriller directed by Danny Pang. When a mentally retarded man (Baoqiang Wang) confesses to five murders at the police station where Detective Han (Ching Wan Lau) is stationed, the authorities are quick to investigate but when they find nothing to corroborate his claims they release the man owing to his mental instability. Soon afterwards, as the body count does begin to rise, they realise they may have made a mistake in letting the man go and begin their investigation once more...
