Japanese anime feature, told in three segments, about the unrequited love between two school friends. The storyline revolves around two main characters, Takaki (voice of Kenji Mizuhashi) and Akari (Ayaka Onoue), who become close friends while attending junior high school. After graduating, Akari moves away, and although Takaki manages to keep in touch by writing letters, the pair gradually drift apart. Years later, with Takaki now a computer programmer in Tokyo and still longing for Akari, a chance encounter sees them reunited.
