In director Paul Wright's debut drama, the sole survivor of a fishing boat accident struggles to come to terms with his loss. Ostracised by the other members of the small fishing community where he lives for surviving the tragedy that claimed his brother Michael (Jordan Young) and four other men, Aaron (George MacKay) finds himself drifting into a dream-like, fantasy-based reality shaped by the folklore tales his mother told him as a child. As his search for answers unfolds, and heedless of the concerns of his mother Cathy (Kate Dickie), Aaron, convinced that his brother is still alive, sets out on a journey to find him.
