Classic British thriller directed by George King. Set in Blackpool's Golden Mile just after the war, the film tells the story of chemist Jim Harding (Douglass Montgomery) who is living in an unhappy marriage with his domineering and avaricious wife Diana (Patricia Burke). Jim falls in love with candyfloss seller Jane Thompson (Hazel Court) and decides to murder his wife after she refuses to grant him a divorce. Will he be able to follow through with his deadly plot?
