This programme, containing archive racing footage, focuses on Jim Clark, Mike Hawthorn and Rob Walker. Jim Clark led every lap of every race he won in 1965 and even broke Fangio's record of victories before being killed in a still unexplained racing accident in 1968. Mike Hawthorn was the first British driver to win the F1 World Championship and the first since the war not to defend it; he was killed in his Jaguar in 1959. Finally, Rob Walker first entered a private F1 team in 1958 and can claim the last genuine privateer victory at the 1968 British GP.
