Six-part ITV comedy drama starring Hugh Laurie as a doctor facing up to a mid-life crisis. The most striking characteristic of Paul Slippery (Laurie)'s state of crisis is his sudden ability to hear other people's thoughts. It is, therefore, no secret to Paul that, while his own sex drive has declined markedly, his three sons, Rory (Benedict Cumberbatch), Daniel (Neil Henry) and Edwin (Joe Van Moyland), appear to think of little else. The fact that his wife, Estelle (Anna Chancellor), has just embarked on a new career as a head hunter only adds to Paul's feeling of isolation within his own family. Then there is the strange case of Dr Ronnie Pilfrey (Peter Capaldi), who becomes obsessed with Estelle...

Hugh Laurie (HOUSE) portrays a depressed and self-doubting general practitioner who suspects that his wife (Anna Chancellor) might be cheating on him in this comedic television series.
