Quirky Irish comedy drama starring Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), a young musician who dreams of making it big, realises that he has his work cut out for him when he joins the experimental band Soronprfbs, which is fronted by Frank Sidebottom (Fassbender). Frank, who has been plagued by mental illness throughout his life, chooses to wear a papier-mache head at all times and is the main force behind the band's music and enigmatic appeal. The band retreat to a secluded cabin to begin a month-long recording session, much to Jon's surprise, but as their creative differences begin to cause tension amongst themselves, Jon is forced to reassess his position in the group.
