Babak Jalali directs this drama portraying the isolated and slightly surreal lives of four male residents of the remote Gorgan province on the border between Iran and Turkmenistan. As they go about their lonely and monotonous daily lives, a minstrel (Khajeh Araz Dordi), a chicken farmer (Mahmoud Kalteh), a mentally-challenged donkey owner (Abolfazl Karimi) and his uncle (Behzad Shahrivari) yearn for the company of women, all of whom have left the area either voluntarily or by force in search of financially beneficial marriages.
