Four feature-length spin-offs from Matt Groening's animated sci-fi comedy about life in the year 3000. In 'Bender's Big Score' (2007), Bender (voiced by John Di Maggio) is forced to travel back in time to steal the most valuable objects from Earth's past after Planet Express is taken over by a company of alien scammers. Later, Earth President Richard Nixon (Billy West) is tricked into selling the planet to the scammers, causing a mass evacuation of the globe. The sequel, 'The Beast with a Billion Backs' (2008), is set directly after the events of the first film. When a rift in the spacetime continuum allows a disgusting, oversized alien to arrive at Earth, it takes control of Fry (West), making him the figurehead of a new religion. Fry convinces the human race to abandon Earth, leaving it free to be taken over by robots. Can the rest of the 'Planet Express' crew restore order to the planet? In the third film, 'Bender's Game' (2008), Bender ends up locked in a padded cell at the Hal Institute for Criminally Insane Robots when a game of Dungeons and Dragons goes horribly awry, Mom Corps is up to its old shenanigans and driving up the price of dark matter, and Mom (Tress MacNeille)'s ex-husband, Professor Farnsworth (West), has accidentally created a crystal made of 'pure anti-backwards' energy. These three plot strands come together in a grand pastiche of Tolkein and Dungeons and Dragons which finds the characters living in an alternate universe known as Cornwood. In the fourth adventure, 'Into the Wild Green Yonder' (2009), Philip Fry continues his adventures delivering the goods for Planet Express. Accompanied as usual by the beautiful one-eyed mutant alien Leela (Katey Sagal), and Bender the robot, Fry sets out to save the universe from the bad guys who are threatening the future Green Age.
