Double bill of British crime noir dramas. In semi-documentary 'The Hangman Waits' (1947) a psychopathic theatre organist commits a brutal murder. The film includes footage of the News of the World Printing Plant and Victoria Station. In 'The Gentle Trap' (1960) thief Johnny Ryan (Spencer Teakle) has his loot stolen by rival Ricky Barnes (Martin Benson) and his gang. To make matters worse, Johnny learns that his girlfriend has helped to frame him. Now he must evade capture by both the police and the gang of crooks.
