When Alice (Kerry Condon) made the decision to leave childhood sweetheart Ray (Wilmot) and take their daughter away in search of a better life she never imagined that one day, twelve years later, he would be knocking on their door. With Ray's father on his deathbed he requests a meeting with the granddaughter he never knew so Ray travels to Dublin to search for her.
