Prince writes, directs and stars in this rock musical sequel. In Minneapolis, The Kid (Prince) has taken co-ownership of the Grand Slam nightclub, where he also performs. However, the other half of the club was willed to The Kid's rival Morris (Morris Day). Hoping to gain sole ownership of Grand Slam, Morris uses his other clubs in the Seven Corners area to try and steal The Kid's customers and force him into giving up his share. Their rivalry is complicated further by the arrival of an angel named Aura (Ingrid Chavez) who tries to make the pair set aside their differences and lead better lives. However, they are still inevitably drawn into a final musical battle for control of the club.
Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. Prince's vehicle for his album of the same name. Set in Minneapolis the film is about a nightclub owner called Lavender One who fights for the love of a beautiful woman.
