Temporarily broke, Grandma Elle and Sage spend the day trying to get their hands on the cash, as their unannounced visits to old friends and flames end up rattling skeletons and digging up secrets.    Grandma was nominated for a Golden Globe (Lily Tomlin, Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy)

Lily Tomlin and Julia Garner star in this comedy drama written and directed by Paul Weitz. When Elle Reid (Tomlin)'s teenage granddaughter Sage (Garner) shows up at her home asking to borrow money with the revelation that she is pregnant, the pair embark on a road trip to try to come up with the $630 Sage needs for an abortion. The cast also includes Judy Greer, Laverne Cox and John Cho.
