In this DVD they visit -      -CRINKLE CRAGS and BOWFELL A classic mountain outing in some of Lakeland’s roughest walking terrain. Almost nine miles, this walk takes in Little Stand before reaching the rocky ridge of Crinkle Crags. A stiff pull up to the massive, classically shaped summit of Bowfell is followed by a short diversion to Esk Pike and a beautiful descent via Mosedale to Cockley Beck.      -The FAIRFIELD HORSESHOE This deservedly popular Lakeland round visits eight summits – four of them over 2,500 feet. Among the tops visited during the ten mile circular walk are Dove Crag and Fairfield, both of which reward walkers with exciting views, and Nab Scar which has romantic associations with the Lake Poets.      -GREAT GABLE Although under six miles this walk involves nearly 900 metres of ascent. The stunning route takes in the impressive Taylorgill Force and Styhead Tarn before passing Napes Needle, one of Lakeland’s most dramatic landmarks. The ascent to the summit of Great Gable is rewarded with wonderful views before descending to Green Gable, Base Brown and back to Seathwaite.

Cameron McNeish and Bill Birkett map out a walk through the Lake District, taking in the natural beauty of Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, the Fairfield Horseshoe and Great Gable.
