Satirical comedy based on the novel by John Griesemer and starring Jason Biggs. In 1979, army private Rudy Spruance (Biggs) is mistakenly posted to an obscure and isolated military hospital in the Arctic, which he soon discovers does not officially exist. Presided over by the deranged Colonel Woolwrap (Jeremy Northam) and his secret lover Sergeant Teal (Natascha McElhone), the hospital is actually a hiding place for one of the army's most important secrets. As Spruance falls in with the misfits and weirdos on the base, he decides to shake things up by exposing the secret.
