At 3pm on Saturday 8th January 2006 Heart of Midlothian kicked off one of the most memorable and breathtaking Scottish Cup runs in the history of the club.After despatching SPL rivals Kilmarnock and Aberdeen the Jambos battled past a spirited Partick Thistle to meet city rivals Hibs in the semi-final at Hampden Park in Glasgow.The Hibs game in Glasgow was to be the most scintillating match between the two teams in many years. On arrival of the Hearts team bus at Hampden where thousands of fans greeted their Tynecastle favourites there was only ever going to be one... winner.
