Highland Rail Festival 2003 DVD

| DVD

The West Highland Rail Festival has been filmed before but never as the ultimate cinematic steam experience on genuine anamorphic widescreen. The locomotives featured are the B1 bearing the identity Strang Steel number 61244 and K1 number 62052. These engines are based at Fort William during the summer for the Jacobite tourist trains to Mallaig. At the end of the 2003 season they starred in a farewell West Highland Festival with special VIP main line excursions to Oban and Crainlarich - plus public and charter trains on the extension to Mallaig. This DVD showcases... steam recreations over the UK's most dramatic rail landscapes passing through some of the most hostile and inaccesible moorland in Scotland. [show more]
