Ed Stoppard and Ian Hart star in this made-for-TV drama about the Jewish lawyer that dared to take on Adolf Hitler. Prior to the outbreak of the Second World War, in 1931, young prosecutor Hans Litten (Stoppard) summoned Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler (Hart) to testify as a witness in the Tanzpalast Eden Trial. Hoping to expose the rising politician's deceptions to the German public during his three-hour cross-examination, Litten would ultimately pay for his brave act by being arrested and placed in the Dachau concentration camp when Hitler assumed power two years later.
