Triple-bill of documentaries looking at different aspects of the Nazi regime during the war. 'Hitler's War 1939-1945' looks at the course of the war from Hitler's perspective, from the victorious march against France in 1940, the initial successes against the Soviet Union in 1941/42, and then the long decline towards Germay's eventual destruction. Includes rare colour footage, including material shot by Eva Braun at Hitler's Berghof retreat. 'The Enigma of the Swastika/The Eagle and the Swastika' looks at the origins of the Nazi's dreaded symbol, from its roots as a Buddhist sign of good fortune, to its appropriation as a symbol of pure evil, while the second part of the documentary tries to explain Hitler's declaration of war on the United States after the Japanese bombing of Pear Harbour, the only specific declaration the German government made during the entire conflict. 'Kill Hitler/Hitler's Secret Weapons' looks at the numerous assassination plots against the German leader, as well as his growing obsession with so-called 'miracle' weapons such as the V2 rocket, which he hoped would save Germany in its darkest hour.
