Documentary from director Tony Palmer on the life and work of English composer Gustav Holst. Born Gustavus Theodor von Holst in 1874, the composer led a colourful life in which he wrote nearly 200 works, his most famous of which being the orchestral suite, 'The Planets'. With contributions from the likes of Katherine Jenkins, Barbara Dickson and Troy Donockley, along with the Gloucester Cathedral Choir, the programme chronicles all aspects of the musician's life.
